Certificate of Occupancy

Before Moving-In Guidelines

No new home, mobile home, or commercial building may be occupied before the building official issues a Certificate of Occupancy. This verifies that required inspections have been made and that corrections have been performed as required to meet code. Existing commercial buildings not occupied at the time a business license is issued will need to be certified for safety and occupancy.

C/Os will be issued approximately 24-48 hours after the final inspection. We will not provide a Certificate of Occupancy on the same day as the final inspection.
