Gravel Hauling Bid 224-124
The Banks County Board of Commissioners will be accepting bids for gravel hauling for Calendar Year 2025 on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at
the Banks County Commissioners Office, 150 Hudson Ridge, Ste. 1, Homer, GA 30547
Bids submitted should state the price per ton for hauling gravel. The terms of the contract will be for a 12-month period from January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025. Gravel is to be delivered within 24 hours of contact and once work has begun it will be worked continuously until completed. This bid cannot be transferred, assigned or subcontracted. However, the County shall have the right to obtain hauling services from any source in case of emergency.
The following minimum qualifications apply for all bidders and shall be submitted at the time of the bid opening:
- Liability Insurance, with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence during the term of the contract.
- Worker’s Compensation Insurance during the term of the contract.
- A copy of your Business License from City/County where your business resides.
- A completed W-9.
- A completed E-Verify Affidavit.
- A completed SAVE Affidavit
- A minimum of one (1) Tandem Axle Dump Truck and one (1) Spreader Truck.
- Compliance with all federal, state and local laws.

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked with the words, “Bid Number 224-124, Opening 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024.” Any bid received after 9:00 a.m. will be rejected.
The Banks County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, informalities and technicalities, and award the contract in the best interest of Banks County.
