80 New Jobs to be Created in Banks County by Diana Food

Food and ingredient manufacturer Diana Food recently announced plans for the construction of a $50 million facility in Banks County, Ga. The food processing, manufacturing, research and development plant is expected to accommodate more than 80 new jobs which will be added by Diana Food and parent company Symrise Group.

The roughly 90,000-square-foot property will be located within the Banks Crossing Business Park and will encompass office, manufacturing and warehouse space on approximately 40 acres. The plant’s main function will be meat processing. Diana Food mass-produces a wide range of clean ingredients with a guarantee of product quality, traceability and food safety. The company currently has nine production plants, 11 sales offices and seven research and development facilities.

“Banks County, Georgia is the best partner for our new manufacturing Plant and Research and Development facility in North America. Setting up a new facility in the US is a key milestone in our company development allowing us to stay always closer to our customers, access to a high quality of local and sustainable sourcing while committing in a long-term perspective to the regional economy,” Yannick Riou, president of Diana Food, said in a prepared statement.

“Georgia offers the transportation network required for growing companies and a workforce second to none. I am confident this strategic Banks County location will provide significant benefits for Diana Food as the company continues its growth in the southeast,” Gov. Nathan Deal said in prepared remarks.
